Jackson

This is my birdie Jackson. We got him from the pet store I apprentice at, Critters & Co.. As far as they know he is a boy, but we can't know for sure unless we get DNA tested but that is pretty expensive. He came with the name Jackson, so we just kept it, not wanting to confuse "him." He is about 7-8 months old and I really like him. As far as Cockatiels go he is really nice. His favorite thing to do is sit and just watch people. (He seems really interested in what we do.) His usual perches are on one of our shoulders' or the computer monitor. I think he likes the computer monitor because he can watch us all very closely while we are on the computer, and it is warm. Cockateils can talk, and they learn better while they are young, so we are trying to teach him little songs to whistle like Twinkle, Twinkle or Mary Had A Little Lamb. We are also trying to teach him phrases like "Here Kitty, Kitty" and "Meow." We all have our little names for him. My dad calls him, like I mentioned before, "the lizard with wings." I call him "clown pigeon." My mom calls him "birdie boy." And I think my sister just calls him "dumb bird!" Anyways, I have things to do so I better go now.

Hi steff,
haha is this the same bird your mom stole from that little girl?
haha i love birds there so sweet.
Jackson thats a cute name, and if he/she hasn't laid any eggs in a year it usually means it's a boy.
Or if it has spots and they fae away its a boy, because only girls keep the spots. Well again only the male talks the female only sins, so it could be a girl. Clown pigeon how CUTE!, hehe anyway your blog looks great

Hola Stephanie,
I love the story about the critters &co...bird.
I had a bird alost exacly like that.
My cat didn't really like it and one day It decided to jump on it's cage and give it a heartattact.
but its was a really cool bird.
I love that fact that you just care so much about animals it make you a better person then what you already are.
